Robert Register I'm going to the movies tonight to see THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Hard to believe this all got kicked off only six years ago. I'm reading Zuckerberg's bio on Wikipedia right now. Should be some superb entertainment.

Robert Register During the 2003-2004 school year @ Harvard, Zuck was a member of A E Pi. Here's the Bama Chapter's page from the '43 Corolla.

Robert Register Here's their history @ the University in '43.

Robert Register I'll go ahead & tell you the end of the movie because it is historical.
ZUCK betrays his fraternity brother & his only real friend.

Robert Register Matt Hayes of THE SPORTING NEWS has written three excellent articles about last night's game. He writes,"Florida is Nouveau Riche; Alabama is HARD CORE..."
The link below takes you to the article Matt wrote today and the other two links are at the bottom of the page.

I spent the afternoon pulling images out of Lee's old Corollas.
I got a pretty good mix for one afternoon's work.

RED JOHN TAKIN' THE ORDER!

Robert Register It's been over 49 yrs. since the Civil War Centennial edition of the Corolla. Bet we won't see no artwork like this next April (Michelle might find it OFFENSIVE)

TELL IT ALL,BROTHER! TELL IT ALL!

Friday night I agreed to write an article about Tuscaloosa's slave cabins & dwellings. I guarantee you I'll show THE SLAVES more respect than the '66 Corolla did.

My boss' Daddy's ad in the '47 Corolla along with Joe Sewell's.

First thing my Daddy told me when I said I wanted to come to school in Tuscaloosa,"All I know about Tuscaloosa is when I was there you had to drive 20 miles just to get a brew."

THE RAMMER JAMMER located on the corner of Bryant Drive & Wallace Wade Avenue.

Now ya know where Siegleman got started: SGA Arts & Sciences Senator '66.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

Robert Register OUR CONDOLENCES, URBAN CRIER.
RGDMFT ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

This gal favors one of my old neighbors.

Chris D. Forshee Interesting. I never knew that anyone besides the frat boys got dressed up to go to a ballgame.

HOW 'BOUT DAT CRIMSON TIDE!

I'm guessing the '66 Auburn game.

William Alford boy, he was fresh faced, right off the farm, wasn't he? but i can see the intensity in those eyes. wish he'd quit smoking back then.

Robert Register I bet you remember where this picture was taken.

Robert Register Music From '72 Will Get You In The Mood To Enjoy The Next Few Images.

THE ORIGINAL PROTEST MOVEMENT @ U of A.
Rose wanted to tear it down & when he couldn't, he got his boy Matthews to get the FBI to burn Dressler, collected the $140,000 in insurance money & built that ugly Ferguson Center on top of Dressler's FBI ashes. That ugly mess was meant to be on top of Woods Hall and the only thing that stopped it was THE LITTLE BO' PROTEST.

Robert Register One of coolest things that happened Friday night was seeing how Michael Palmer lifted the pennant off of one of Lee's postcards & used it to headline an article.

Robert Register Had a rockin' GOOD night with the blues crew from THE ALABAMA BLUES
PROJECT. They had their main fund raiser tonight @ THE JEMISON MANSION
& the music, the art, the food, the drink & THE LADIES were
SUPERB. Ran into MICHAEL PALMER & he gave me some copies of the new
issue of his SOUTHERN TIMES of GREATER TUSCALOOSA MAG...AZINE which
includes the illustration he did with Lee's postcards. KEWL!

Robert Register Here's the part of Palmer's article where he credits Lee Pake, my boss for well over 11 yrs. & a great friend to me & my family.

Robert Register HERE'S ANOTHER BLAST FROM THE PAST!
John Earl CELEBRATING REAGAN'S
TUESDAY, NOV. 4, 1980 VICTORY in his election night get-up photographed
by David York inside THE CHUKKER published in the Wednesday, Nov. 5,
1980 edition of THE TUSCALOOSA NEWS.

Robert Register I bet Brian H. almost had a heart attack in anticipation of the feast promised by this sign on the old Krystal on The Strip. You can see in the background that the BP station was still a service station when this photo was published in the T News on Jan. 30, 1981. I bet very few of us have any late night Krystal memori...es to share because we were all to stoned to recollect.

Robert Register If you ever wanted a reason to eliminate local, county, state and
federal government agencies, look at this schedule of fines from the
1967 business reply mail envelope in which you sent your fines to
THE
TUSCALOOSA MUNICIPAL COURT. These fines were just punishment but
...compare them to the greed of the current regimes and you see why we want
to eliminate every CITY YARD, COUNTY YARD, STATE YARD & FEDERAL
YARD in this country, open all government services up to open bid
contracts on the Internet & FIRE ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES!
