JD to me:

No, and double no.

jcr~

Those pictures of Gail's Birfday Party produce a 41 year old flashback for just about any living red blooded DHS male from the Class of '68.

The only thing missing from that wet dream were Toni Sammarco, Mary Ann Hall, Sue Shimoda and Patsy Fuller.

Muchas!

rr,

Also, he delights in pushing hot buttons. "Do you think Adam and Eve were black?" he asked one recent caller. "Don't you think that would upset some people in this town if they found out they were descended from African Americans?"

It would benefit all of Alabama if everyone in Alabama would accept our African American origins and check African American under our race category on the upcoming 2010 census.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_(United_States_Census)

The race categories for the 2010 census have not been chosen but "other" may be eliminated plus Hispanic may be broken down into racial categories. Regardless, it would benefit everyone in Alabama if we would not choose "white" for our race category on the new census.

Not everyone in Alabama will be comfortable like I am with checking "African American" but you will definitely have other choices such as "American Indian and Alaska Native", "Asian" ,"Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander" or any other race category other than "White".

I wonder what the Southern Poverty Law Center will say when they discover there are no "white" people living in ALABAMA after 2010.

In my humble opinion, it be wonderful if the 2010 census revealed that there were no more "white" people living within the boundaries of the State of Alabama.

We need to shed the "W" word now because that term will be used against us until the end of time by these worthless, unproductive, hateful left wing numbskulls who have this unholy attraction to the STATE OF ALABAMA.

The list of colorful characters goes on and on. Another story that will keep y'all coming back for another read is about Ben Delimus who cunningly preyed upon freed slaves during the Reconstruction era with various schemes and "Got filthy rich selling hair straightners to" African-Americans. Although the stories in this book were meant to celebrate the rich history of the people of Alabama when the book was published, today we would call the stories about the Southern African-Americans stereotypical, politically incorrect, and even demeaning in some cases. Many of these make use of the "N" word which speaks volumes of the era in which this book was written. It is a relic of an era where racially inappropriate and insensitive products were widely available.

Hi sir,
I am the nephew of Little Lois and former "child star" drummer aka Tiger Tony of the band. We are in the process of doing a reunion show in the coming months. Lois is still alive and kickin. However, what can you tell me about the band. Do you have pictures?

Tony Potter

Robert,
I came across your Blog while searching on the web for a way to aquire old recordings of a Saturday night show I listened to growing up on 95.5 WTVY. I lived just south a few miles from Paxton. Do you have any idea how I could get a few recordings of
"The Old Taylor-Made Opry" from the mid 80's?

James Cannon

Roberto,
Would you happen to have somewhere, some pix of ARS with me in the pix. You know, the original guys! Luc Brunot is asking me for some and I'm searching everywhere! Thanks, Robert.....................
Please, if you do just e-mail them to me!!!!

Roberto
