A Day In The Life Of A Warehouse Relief Worker

I've been trying to get some order in where things end up at the Phifer Warehouse.
The cleaning supplies had somehow migrated so I got them back to where they were supposed to be in the front.
In the process I got assigned to gather all the feminine hygiene items and put them in the room with the medicine. I was singing under my breath, "Take it to the max..." Some women were sensitive about asking men for these items so I got the job to secure them away from sight.
Apparently the Forest Service people were a little lax in handing out flashlights and batteries so I had to secure them in the medicine room too. Batteries are a lot heavier than pads!
The ladies from the Seventh Day Adventist Church who are in charge have a guide for the classification and grouping of items. They just are pretty busy right now. Maybe things will get better. Maybe the lousy old clothing will stop coming in and all the other junk.
Some hanging signs are now up...saying things like "WATER." There are a lot of loose water bottles. I spent a lot of time just trying to get assorted water containers on a pallet in a stable arrangement.
I worked with a couple from out-of-town for hours sorting food. Then some people came in and just wanted all the food on pallets so we just threw everything we'd sorted together on boxes on the pallets.
It's a little chaotic…

EVERBODY KNOWZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...Dear Robert,
I recently had the pleasure of finding your Blog site while searching for a very old song from my past.
It was from the original James Gang, called "Everybody Knows". You had a verse from it on your site, which brought it up in my search.
I contacted you and asked if you possibly knew how to get in touch with any of them, as I would really like to get an MP3 of the song.
You forwarded my email to J.D., a member of the band, and also offered to send me a copy of the song.
J.D. also responded to me, and he sent me a file of the song.. This took me back to days of long ago, hearing something that I never thought I would again.
I would just like to formally thank you for going that extra mile out of your way, to do all of this for someone that you don't even know, never met.
It's refreshing to experience someone willing to help out a stranger.
I just want to say "Thanks" again, so much Robert.
I will never forget you, and if at anytime, I can do you a favor, please feel free to ask me.
I will certainly try my best.
Sincerely,
Buster Fykes
