HEY Y'ALL:
Can you believe it!
Buddy got an entire hour on Finebaum!
Every caller was positive. One even called Finebaum's radio show "Entertainment Headquarters"!
Paul called the interview "one of the best shows we've had in a long time." He quoted Ronnie Quarles of WTBC as saying Buddy's appearance on Wally & Dave's Morning Show was one of their best shows ever.
Later Paul called his interview with Buddy "a dream come true!" and told Buddy to come back and "stay all summer!"
I talked to Buddy just after the interview as he was getting into the elevator and he was so pleased.
What a wonderful day! Thank you Paul Finebaum! http://finebaum.com

sample of "The Day Bear Bryant Died"!

Robert,
LaJuana Green forwarded this to me and I just wanted to let you know that it is great.
Hope you don't mind if I forward on to some more BAMA fans.
LaJuana, said that Buddy Buie wrote the song.
I live next to Gloria's brother and sister-in-law and also went to Dothan High a couple of years behind Gloria. My mother also taught at Dothan High for years .
Great job

Robert,
I've been sitting back in voyeuristic style enjoying Lajuana's
sojourn with you through the music of our lives.
Thank you.
I'm writing
now because of your tribute song to Coach. After listening the memories
have come, first in a trickle and now a deluge. Here in the Carolinas
you have the title of "story teller", a phrase only used for our most
esteemed brothers and sisters.

Robert,
Thanks so much for sending this. I really enjoyed it.
Will anything be done with it commercially? I mean, it would most likely be
at a local level.
Buie is one of the greatest song writers ever. He,
like ARS, deserves so much more recognition than they've received.
Thanks for bringing this out.

Re: [ChampagneJam] BUDDY BUIE said," We all piled into my '55 Chevrolet & went on the road with Roy Orbison!"
Robert,
thanks for that interview, also thanks to Buddy and Ronnie for sharing this story....Roy was one of my favorite entertainers, loved his mystery and passion....and strangely enough, well not so strange, one of my daughter's as well.
I am forwarding this interview to her, she will love the story...We had the privilege of knowing John Rainey and David Adkins , my X played with them around Dothan, Montgomery, Selma, Columbus and Atlanta for a while.
Thanks again!
